In
response to the recent violent kidnap attempts against women in Steiner Ranch,
I am hosting several women's self defense classes at the Town Park Community
Center. I am a master self-defense
instructor and teach a two hour format class that is effective and fun Women learn tactics that they can
recall under stress to defend against attacks. I stress three things: Detect, Defuse and Defend.
As a professional self-defense trainer I have trained Austin Police Department. I specialize in all areas of use of force including: concealed handgun licensing (CHL), handgun safety and deployment, Taser and OC Spray (mace). My firm is Summit Self Defense and we have a website dedicated to women's safety: http://www.femaleselfdefense.com. I teach locally to organizations, groups, corporations or privately when I am in town. See my credentials HERE.
My wife and former Sheriff's Deputy, Marie, will assist in delivering this training. Marie and I have seen the aftermath of violence against women firsthand and we want to give women and people options. We have created a website that provides women self-defense options and we reach out to many of our students in our seminars who may be victims of violence. They provide training through seminars locally, nationally and internationally.
Summit Self Defense offers training to corporations, organizations and groups to combat workplace violence, personal safety, crimes against women, risk assessments and real life scenarios. I have trained in many towns in Texas and in several other states.
