Women need self defense and concealed handgun training in Austin Texas

May 27, 2009- Austin, TX--     I have been getting many calls from women needing assistance in self defense and gun training.  Violence, threats and fear seem to be increasing.  I can effectively train women in self defense on a private, group or association setting in hands on self defense, taser, Handgun, concealed handgun, home defense, rape prevention or safe escape techniques.  

 I specialize in women's self defense.  I can effectively teach a woman to use a handgun like a trained professional in four hours.  No shooting experience needed.  I will work in self-defense and confidence training into the lessons and you can feel safe again very soon.  My students feel empowered very quickly.

Israeli self defense is both instinctive and practical for the real world

March 24, 2009--     Sometimes and more frequently people are being attacked in the United States.  Aggravated Assault crime statistics are rising and this is the kind of crime that is intended to bring death or great bodily harm to the victim.  Murder rates are decreasing only through our advances in medical care and our ability to keep people alive through fast response.  

Don't be fooled by the positive "spin" you hear on the news.  Violent crime happens in the United States with greater frequency than ever before. 

Many people practice different styles of martial arts for different reasons but we need to understand that we are "betting our lives" on our choice...

What happens on the street if you are alone and attacked by two determined individuals?  What will be your response?

When you want to be able to defend yourself and your loved ones - you don't want it to take years to learn. Traditional Martial Arts take years to perfect, introducing material in stages, by belt level curriculums.  This delays your learning to become effective in defending yourself. In fact, traditional Martial Arts have very little to do with real life self-defense. Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a sport that has gained a lot of publicity in the last few years due to the UFC and Pride. While MMA is closer to Reality-Fighting than traditional Martial Arts are, it is still not a real fight. In an MMA fight, the competitor knows he is only confronted with a single attacker in a frontal direction. In training and fighting in such manner the athlete focuses his/her vision forward only and constantly rotates side to side to keep the opponent aligned. 

In Reality-Fighting, things are completely different! To begin with, most one-on-one confrontations are the result of an ambush and come out of nowhere, (which brings to the table a completely different level of stress.) Then there is the issue of multiple attackers, weapon deployment, etc.

If traditional Martial Arts or MMA is your interest, we are NOT the school for you.

As an Israeli system that can trace its origins directly to the battlefields in the Middle East, the practicality of our system is matched by none. Professional Martial Arts instructors and Law Enforcement personnel from all over the country travel to our school all the time to upgrade their existing systems of self-defense. 

 

The philosophy is that no one has the right to touch you with malicious intent and anyone who does should be dealt with immediately and aggressively to enable you to be safe and secure at the end of the day.

The Israeli Self Defense system is far from being an ordinary Martial Art; it is the wave of the future in hand-to-hand combat and street fighting methodologies. It incorporates both unarmed and armed fighting methods. One of the most important features of the Haganah system is that, unlike many traditional martial arts systems, it is continuously enhanced.  It uses the best of the best in self-defense and combat methodologies.

Robb Hamic is a  Ground Survival, Israeli Tactical Knife Fighting (ITK) and Israeli Combat Shooting Instructor (ICS). He is U.S. Army Gulf War Veteran, former Deputy and Detective. He is also a Certified Law Enforcement Trainer (CLET) and he instructs officers on all aspects of police work and weapons. His specialty is hand-to-hand tactics, firearms, Taser and use of force. Robb has spent much of his life in martial arts and training others. Robb is a regular columnist for the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors (IALEFI) and has many published articles and training columns. 

Matt Knaub He is also a Jujitsu, boxing, kick-boxing and Thai boxing instructor. He is a successful professional MMA fighter currently training for a title belt. He holds medals from the Pan American Games, Grappler's Quest and other Tournaments. Matt is top manager/trainer at Summit Security & Investigations.
