Israeli Combat Shooting™ in Indio California by Ernest Estrada

Palm Springs, CA- June 9, 2010-  Ernest Estrada has successfully completed Israeli Combat Shooting™ instructor development school in Austin Texas.  Mr. Estrada will offer this real world gun deployment and personal protection training in Indio California and the Palm Springs area. 

Mr. Estrada is a US Marine Corps Desert Storm Combat Veteran and retired Riverside County Sheriff's Office Deputy.  He owns and operates a successful Brazillian Jujitsu school in Indio and he will add Israeli Combat Shooting™ to his list of skills that he teaches to people.  Mr. Estrada trained under Robb Hamic and obtained his certification June 9, 2010.

 Israeli Combat Shooting (ICS) has a familiar foundation of muscle memory, instinct and reliability that is easy to teach to everyone. ICS saves time and allows the shooter to not even look at gun sights. In fact, over half of all shootings happen in a shot distance. No sights are required when you can almost touch the attacker. ICS is a programmed method of weapons deployment that has been very successful in Israel for the last few decades. It is designed for close-quarter action and teaches the shooter to “draw, cock and shoot” a violent offender in one second or less. "I teach people how to win violent stressful encounters with a handgun. It is as simple as that." says Robb Hamic.

 Professor Ernest Estrada is a certified 1st degree blackbelt in  Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.   He also has extensive training in other various fighting arts such as Muay Thai, Escrima, Kali, Shoot Wrestling and Boxing. He has over 15 years of law enforcement experience and is a former Deputy Sheriff. He is also a former U.S. Marine who has served as a rifleman during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. As a  Deputy Sheriff he worked in various assignments such as custody, court security and patrol. He was also a field training officer, P.O.S.T. Certified defensive tactics instructor and baton instructor. He is currently a state licensed private investigator.

Israeli self defense is both instinctive and practical for the real world

March 24, 2009--     Sometimes and more frequently people are being attacked in the United States.  Aggravated Assault crime statistics are rising and this is the kind of crime that is intended to bring death or great bodily harm to the victim.  Murder rates are decreasing only through our advances in medical care and our ability to keep people alive through fast response.  

Don't be fooled by the positive "spin" you hear on the news.  Violent crime happens in the United States with greater frequency than ever before. 

Many people practice different styles of martial arts for different reasons but we need to understand that we are "betting our lives" on our choice...

What happens on the street if you are alone and attacked by two determined individuals?  What will be your response?

When you want to be able to defend yourself and your loved ones - you don't want it to take years to learn. Traditional Martial Arts take years to perfect, introducing material in stages, by belt level curriculums.  This delays your learning to become effective in defending yourself. In fact, traditional Martial Arts have very little to do with real life self-defense. Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a sport that has gained a lot of publicity in the last few years due to the UFC and Pride. While MMA is closer to Reality-Fighting than traditional Martial Arts are, it is still not a real fight. In an MMA fight, the competitor knows he is only confronted with a single attacker in a frontal direction. In training and fighting in such manner the athlete focuses his/her vision forward only and constantly rotates side to side to keep the opponent aligned. 

In Reality-Fighting, things are completely different! To begin with, most one-on-one confrontations are the result of an ambush and come out of nowhere, (which brings to the table a completely different level of stress.) Then there is the issue of multiple attackers, weapon deployment, etc.

If traditional Martial Arts or MMA is your interest, we are NOT the school for you.

As an Israeli system that can trace its origins directly to the battlefields in the Middle East, the practicality of our system is matched by none. Professional Martial Arts instructors and Law Enforcement personnel from all over the country travel to our school all the time to upgrade their existing systems of self-defense.
